I’m always surprised by the courage a Sarah Palin for standing up as a conservative leader.  A lot of people don’t get this.  They see her taking in thousands of dollars, and then calling it greed.  It isn’t.  It’s safety.  Let’s put this into perspective.

Sarah Palin is a public figure.  She is the kind of person who could and would make great inroads in protecting freedom.  The enemies of freedom, people such as the members of Al Qaeda, kill people who believe in and protect freedom.  They strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up to kill people who believe in and protect freedom.  That’s how serious they are.

They blow up large buildings with stolen jetliners.  They start wars.  They have no moral sense.

When Sarah Palin publicly stands up for freedom and American values, she puts herself into our enemy’s crosshairs.  Every time she goes out in public she takes a chance that some freedom hating kook will take her out.  Every time she walks along a country road, she is taking a chance that some terrorist sniper will shoot her.  Every time she meets a group she takes a chance that one of them will strap explosives to themselves to blow up people in the crowds near her.  With the underwear bombers, the one that was caught last Christmas trying to blow up an jet liner, and another that tried to blow up a Saudi prince last year, we see that they have the ability to suicide bomb anyone they can get close to.

I bet she gets at least one death threat per day.

That is what Sarah Palin gets up and faces every morning.

I don’t have inside information about the security arrangements of a Sarah Palin event, but we know that security has to be tight.  That means expenses.  That means that events have to cost money; at least enough to cover the costs of security.

When I read that seats cost $500 each at the upcoming Tea Party convention where Sarah Palin is speaking and I read that she is receiving however much money it is she gets for speaking,  I know that most of that a lot of that money is going to security.

It takes a a hell of a lot of guts to do what Sarah Palin is doing.

Stumble it!
