John Bolton wrote an article about an abused concept international law: Democracy Under Arrest. Specifically, he wrote about a concept called ‘Universal jurisdiction,’ which permits states to go after rogue criminals, such as pirates, who are threats to peace, but are not connected to any government.

This supports my entry from a couple days ago about global law. Global laws are evil. People are only free if they can choose to live in a state which is not subject to the laws of other states.

The British government is abusing the concept of ‘universal jurisdiction’ by going after political leaders of other states who act on behalf of their state.  This is in keeping with the current character of the British government; the same government the Americans fought 230 years ago because it was inherently corrupt and tyrannical.

What Britain has done is usurp an international principle.  Going after the likes of pirates is OK.  Going after the elected leaders of other nations as if they are pirates is not OK.  Britain, not a pirate, has gone rogue.  Britain has become the pirate.

If Britain has an issue with the actions of Tzipi Livni as a representative of Israel, then Britain has an issue with the nation of Israel.

If other nations do not stop the actions of the pirate state of Great Britain, a new set of global laws will prevail.  Those global laws will mean the end of freedom as we know it. Tyranny will prevail for a day.  People are naturally drawn to freedom.  War may be the end result.  Britain’s action may be considered an act of war, and should be treated as such.  It is not just an attack on Israel, but on all freedom loving nations.

Stumble it!
