An atheist extremist group, the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation, is fighting to remove the phrases “In God We Trust” and “one nation under God” from the Capitol Visitor Center.
Backmann backs “God” in the Capitol Center
The extremist nut jobs are trying to deny the relationship between God and government. The US government draws its moral sense from the religion of the people. The Founders knew that the virtue found in religious morality is essential to a free society, and wrote on that principle at length.
When a government official takes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, they are swearing on their faith in God that they will do so. That is what an oath is. It is a swearing on one’s faith in God. It is not just a promise or affirmation. Faith is the foundation of moral government. The oaths in the Constitution are dependent on the swearer’s faith in God. The oaths bind the officials of our government to religious virtue, and at the same time do not bind the government to any one establishment of religion.
These kooks at the Freedom From Religion Foundation are intentionally trying to destroy America’s foundation of virtue. What do you want to bet me that they aren’t a bunch a socialist and avowed communists?
Stumble it!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbackit should be removed/needs to be removed. myth, fables, supernatural and superstition have no place in reality…and absolutely no place in government
@freethinker7 If you’re smarter than me, God exists! If anyone is more intelligent than another, He exists. It’s logical.
It should not be removed. It is a symbol of any free nation. As long as our nation would like to be free, let “In God We Trust” be engraved into every building. Any man/nation that has truly been great has acknowledged God. And that’s not a myth or fable.
