I’m reading Reagan’s diaries. They are an incredible read. I recommend getting a copy and reading it.
One of the interesting stories from Reagan’s diaries is about his not getting to keep his Christmas presents. This was one of the first thing Reagan learned as President is that the President can’t accept gifts. Even from family and close friends. In his first Christmas he and Nancy received presents from friends. Right away the government came along and took them away.
I don’t know where they are now. Perhaps in a warehouse somewhere.
I don’t believe that Barack Obama can receive the peace prize. It is effectively a gift. The peace prize involves a large amount of money, $1.4 million I believe, and probably some kind of medallion or trophy or something. This is all destined for the warehouse.
I don’t believe that Obama can accept the award as President. When he accepted the peace prize he may have broken this federal law. The proper thing to do would have been to thank the peace prize communists, uh, I mean, committee for their intentions, and reject the prize.
Now the $1.4 million in prize money and honor that was intended to go to some worthy and noble person who actually did something to deserve it, goes to the US federal government instead.
Barack Obama has scammed not just the Nobel Peace Prize communists, uh, I mean, committee out of 1.4 million bucks, but he has stolen it away from someone who actually deserves it.
Unless Obama keeps the $1.4 million bucks to give away to someone else, and if he does that he’s proven that he thinks he’s above the law. Like, we need more proof of that.
Stumble it!
