Remember when Al Gore got a speeding ticket for driving 77 in a 55 zone? I drive this road quite often. It is a country highway that crosses the Oregon coastal range. I’ll tell you something about that story that wasn’t in the press.
The road is a clearly marked safety corridor. There are signs all the way along it saying that it is a safety corridor. The reason it is a safety corridor is there are fatal accidents on that highway all the time. It is a dangerous road to drive on. It is curvy. Drunks and idiots drive on it going to and from the coast and Portland. The road is narrow. It is in a forested wilderness and animals are on the road quite often. People pull on and off the road at odd spots that are often hidden by trees and brush. There are driveways all along it.
This guy is so arrogant that he drives one of the most eco-unfriendly cars, a big gas guzzling comfy four-door, not just through a 55 zone, but a clearly marked safety corridor doing at least 77 mph with no care for the health and well being of others.
Then he tells us all that we should be driving electric cars to save the environment. On top of that he starts an electric car company and manages to get government gifts to fund it. So we end up paying to support his electric car company. (hat tip to The Admonition)
The guy’s heartlessness, selfishness, and arrogance are beyond belief.
Stumble it!
