We, the above CEOs, would like to take a moment to collectively thank the people of the United States for your Class for Clunkers program. We are overjoyed that you have decided to put up billions of your hard earned tax dollars to support the purchases of our many fine automobiles. You will be happy to know that some of the money you are effectively giving us will go to US car dealerships as well as some US automobile plants. Without the burdensome taxes you are placing on yourselves a large number of people in the US would not be buying new automobiles this year. We and those new car owners are benefiting greatly from your financial graciousness which we return with our words of thanks, and perhaps we may sell you one of our quality vehicles in the near future, if you are able to afford it. We appreciate the wisdom of your choices and we will be most happy to see you continue choosing wisely in the foreseeable future.
Thank you again.
– The foreign automobile CEOs.
