I came across this site by Dan Hankins, a former Christian minister, who rethought his Christian faith.

It is interesting because it gets across the essential ideas of love and compassion.  He submits a beautiful idea: “My true purpose in life is to love and serve others; to leave things better than I found them; to consider the common good above my own; and I will perform this task to the best of my ability so help me God.”
