They are all over the Internet.  Recently some of them marched on Washington.  Radical atheists bother me.

What is it about them that bothers me?  I am concerned that people will group me in with them.  The thing is, I disagree with most of what they say.

I respect people’s right to believe and to advocate their beliefs.  I respect reasonable discussions.  But when I look at the comments on the pictures referenced above, and on the various atheist web sites, I know these folks are just as unreasonable as the people they so obviously hate.  They are as inclined towards violence as the people they so obviously hate.  They are as religious and fanatical as the people they so obviously hate.

They argue hatefully for "reason" and then turn around and make completely unreasonable statements. 

They argue for freedom of belief, while trying to impose their beliefs onto everyone else.

They scream for tolerance, while demanding intolerance.

They borrow heavily from Traditional Deism, while refusing to acknowledge any understanding of God, even a completely naturalistic understanding.

 I would bet that a lot, maybe most, non-radical atheists are embarrassed by these guys.
